Where this is taking us

Green frogs, marbles and Hilbert space? It may seem that we are heading for an insanely complicated way to create e-commerce and e-business solutions. But, remember we are not trying to arrive at some logical procedure. We are looking for Zen-ness: that enigmatic understanding that will give us an inexplicable ability to create counter intuitive strategies.

By now you will have some sort of fuzzy idea about how objects can be placed into a Hilbert space and be manipulated for optimum performance. With this fuzzy picture in mind it is time to reveal the most powerful of the Hilbert space magic: it can be used to deal with people.

With all the systems we have considered, each modular part of any system has always been found to be associated with a human person. People then are dimensions of all modules and all systems. Using the ability of Hilbert space to select particular dimensions to define the space, we can set up a Hilbert space where the dimensions are people.

This is more than just an idiosyncratic conclusion. This is of major significance. It means we can create an optimally performing system where our only dealing is with people and there is no need to reference any underlying technology.

If the dimensions of a Hilbert space object are people, you might then ask what does this object represent: how would you describe such an object? The answer is: the object is a solution. For every different combination of dimensions (people) you'll get a different solution to a problem. Moving around in such a space will produce an infinite variety of different solutions and the game is to find the place in this space (the right combination of people) that will provide the best solution to a particular problem.

The trick though, is to find an efficient way of moving around in this Hilbert Solution Space. To do this we shall need to use communication, but, this is what the Information Age is all about: it's about communication. And, by means of the Internet, we'll be able to use communication strategies that were not possible in the Industrial Age.

However, it cannot be just any kind of communication strategy; we shall need some help from the sophisticated teachings of game theory. This is where we shall go next.
