Publications

On the left are links to the descriptions of five books and a CD-ROM. These provide a detailed background to the development and evolution of stigmergic systems over the course of the last ten years.

The CD-ROM - How God Makes God - was published in 1993. It contains descriptions and interactive tutorials covering many of the basic concepts.

Two of the books - Lingo Sorcery and Magical A-Life Avatars - cover many of the technicalities of the programming strategies used in stigmergic systems.

The other three books - The Entrepreneurial Web, The Ultimate Game of Strategy and Web Presence - are concerned with applying biological strategies to the commercial environment of the Web.

If you look through the tables of contents of these publications, you can quickly get some idea of the range of subject areas that, in one way or another, are involved in the successful application of stigmergic systems.

The concepts and strategies contained in the above publications are all brought together in the CD-ROM Concepts and strategies. Note: Several excerpts from this CD-ROM are used in the references section on this site.
